Editorial Standards

Fronts is privately owned and operated by Fulcrum Enterprises IV s.r.o. We are a fully independent outlet: our editorial decisions on what to cover, how to cover it, and what to publish are made by our own editorial team. Our publications are not subject to approval, review, or influence by advertisers, subscribers, or any other commercial partners.

We accept no funding from political parties, advocacy organizations, lobbying groups, governments, or ideologically motivated donors. Our work is funded entirely by reader subscriptions and the audience support of our affiliated YouTube channels.

Fronts is a boutique, deliberately curated outlet. We commission analysis from writers with demonstrated expertise in the subjects they cover — including academic credentials, professional experience, on-the-ground reporting, and/or a portfolio of prior publications.

Where contributors hold positions in governments, militaries, NGOs, research institutions, or other bodies relevant to the topics they write about, we disclose those affiliations alongside their work.

We do not accept gifts, sponsored trips, paid placements, or other compensation from the subjects of our reporting. Where a writer has a financial holding or close personal relationship with a subject of coverage that cannot be resolved through disclosure, we reassign the piece.

Our analysis is grounded in primary sources wherever possible: government documents, court records, official statements, on-the-record interviews, and verified open-source material. When we rely on secondary reporting, we provide lists and links to those sources.

Fronts does not generally use anonymous sources. In rare cases where senior officials provide background information, we identify them by level and affiliation — for example, "a senior Western official" — and only when they have direct knowledge of what they describe. We do not use anonymous sources to make accusations against named individuals or organizations.

Every article published on Fronts is read and reviewed by our Editor-in-Chief before publication. We rely heavily on the subject-matter expertise of the writers and analysts we commission, and our review focuses on factual accuracy, clarity, and consistency with available evidence.

Where the factual record is incomplete or contested, we say so directly in the piece, and explain what is known, what is disputed, and what remains unclear.

When we publish a factual error, that error is verified once it has been brought to our attention, and subsequently corrected on our site.

Fronts distinguishes between factual errors, which require correction, and interpretive or analytical disagreements, which do not. Readers who disagree with our analysis, or with the conclusions of a particular piece, are welcome to send their response through our contact page. Our team reads all such submissions. Disagreement with the analysis presented by Fronts, however, is not a correction in itself. The decision on what constitutes a factual correction rests with our Editor-in-Chief.

When we issue a correction, our process is as follows:

• Significant factual corrections are noted at the top of the affected article for at least 48 hours after revision, with a description of what was corrected.
• All corrections are recorded at the bottom of the article, with the date and a description of the change. These notices remain permanently visible.
• Minor cosmetic edits — typographical errors, formatting, and similar non-substantive changes — will not be noted.
• If an article contains an error significant enough to materially change its conclusions, we may retract the piece and publish a clearly-labeled retraction notice in its place.

Fronts strictly prohibits the publication of AI-written work and bans the direct use of AI to create articles, scripts, or analytical content. We also ban the use of AI-summarized information to replace primary research, sourcing, or analytical judgment.

We permit the responsible use of AI for mechanical tasks that do not affect editorial substance, including digital proofreaders, transcription tools, and data aggregation utilities. Any AI assistance used in producing a Fronts article is reviewed by a human editor, and we will note AI involvement on any piece where it is material to the article's content.

Plagiarism is prohibited at Fronts, across all content. We do not publish material drawn from another source without proper attribution, and we treat plagiarism as grounds for the immediate end of a contributor relationship. All impacted work will be immediately retracted.
